Moss provides six (6) different boiler systems designed to meet your wood, biomass, coal or any solid fuel fired boiler requirements. Our watertube, hybrid, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), HRT (horizontal return tube), firebox and firetube boilers are matched to the correct Moss combustion system to fit most any industrial boiler applications. Our solid fuel fired boiler systems range in pressures from 15 PSIG to more than 950 PSIG with or without superheat (up to 900° F.) and in sizes from 150 HP to more than 250,000 lbs./hr. (7,246 HP). Each boiler design can be provided with one of our gasifier, fluidized bed, pneumatic spreader (Detroit Stoker vibrating or hydro grate) stoker, vibrating, oscillating or reciprocating grate combustion systems. All combustion systems are controlled by our intelligently designed PLC combustion control and steam management systems providing you with the best available solid fuel fired boiler system for your industrial application.
Moss boiler systems are capable of burning practically any combination of wood fuels including bark, sawdust, planer shavings, hogged wood, chips, sanderdust and also most biomass fuels all with varying moisture contents. Coal, tire derived fuels (TDF) and municipal solid waste (MSW) are also acceptable fuels for reducing your high natural gas and fuel oil energy cost. Our versatile boiler/combustion systems have a reputation for excellent combustion efficiency, low emissions, system reliability, superb technology and responsive service in the combustion of wood, biomass and coal fuels.
Moss provides engineering, procurement and construction services (EPC) assuring successful solid fuel fired gasification based boiler plant project installations. Our turnkey installations begin at fuel unloading and end at the tip of the stack. In today’s emission and regulatory environment, Moss provides innovative solutions by providing advanced control systems, flexible fuel delivery and storage systems and properly selected emission equipment to meet our customer’s most stringent requirements. Moss provides advanced technological and manufacturing capabilities to ensure our customer’s requirements for the most advanced and energy efficient industrial steam and power - generating systems are met.
